The Literacy Center — Introducing Children’s Literacy!

| August 5, 2019

We’ve added children’s literacy to our services!

“Raising Readers”

Interested in volunteering with this new program?  Read below for details!

“Raising Readers” is TLC’s brand new program that will serve under-performing first grade readers at Thomas Elementary School.  This pilot program aims to support these students in their literacy development and see them reading at grade level by the end of the year.

 WE NEED VOLUNTEERS!!!!

If you or someone you know loves to work with children in an educational setting, please attend our introductory training August 20th from 5:30-7:30 pm at The Literacy Center.  The training will cover volunteer expectations, the curriculum we’ll be using, and how to effectively work with children.

If interested, please RSVP to Dianna Sanchez at director@thinkliteracy.org or call 928-556-0313.  YOU have the power to make the difference in the life of a child – we hope to see you there!
