Strengthening Families – Protective Factors: Optimal Child Development

Strengthening Families is a research-informed approach to increase family strengths, enhance child development and reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect. It is based on engaging families, programs, and communities in building five protective factors. One of these factors is Knowledge of Parenting and Child Development.
CCC&Y’s Strengthening Families: Protective Factors – Weekly Updates!

CCC&Y will be promoting this framework by providing resources and engagement that support the Strengthening Families goals to increase family strengths, enhance child development and reduce the likelihood of child abuse and neglect. It is based on engaging families, programs, and communities in building five protective factors. We will also be providing links to training and implementation of these factors.
