Coconino County Health & Human Services presents 2021 Back to School Health Fair in Flagstaff
Despite threatening weather, the Coconino County Health & Human Services successfully marked the return of the county’s Back to School Health Fair on July 17 Flagstaff.
The event, held at the county’s King Street location, featured nearly 20 socially-spaced vendors who provided health and education materials to families.
Some of the participants included Arizona Health Zone, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Candelen/Elevate Pre-K, the Coconino Coaltion for Children & Youth, Delta Dental, the Flagstaff Public Library, First Things First, North County HealthCare and the Salvation Army.
Mindfulness Spotlight: How are you filling your cup?
There’s so much “new”! You may be wearing several hats simultaneously throughout a day: caregiver, employee, leader, chef, IT specialist, and so many more. A friend recently reminded me, “We can’t forget we have a physical body.” Simple as it was, it was a great reminder for me.
So how are you filling your cup? CCC&Y encourages you to do something every day that brings you peace of mind. Tending to our social/emotional health builds our resiliency! Ensuring our cup is full, or at least not running on empty, ensures we have the emotional reserve to be our best for ourselves and our children.

Register now for “Meaningful Engagement: Methods for Facilitating Continuous Improvement and Evaluation,” to be held 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, May 17 at the Flagstaff Aquaplex, 1702 N. 4th St. Flagstaff.The primary focus of this workshop will be to offer tools for effective communication / partnership development, stakeholder engagement, facilitation methods, and applied evaluation techniques. This workshop provides attendees with skills for designing and improving community programs with an emphasis on engaging team members and partners to conduct effective evaluation, move projects forward and achieve meaningful results.
