Systems Design Steering Committee Needs Your Help Completing Surveys

Last November, a group of stakeholders met together at City Hall to discuss a potential project to better serve our Flagstaff neighbors experiencing homelessness.  Now that System Design Collaborative is officially up and running, they need your help!

What is the purpose of the System Design Collaborative?

System Design Collaborative’s objective of the collaboration is to unite community leadership to implement a strategy for fast-tracking people in crisis to the best program to end their experience in homelessness.  System design will reduce duplication of efforts, better coordinate resources, and eliminate multiple community wait-lists.  This plan is a cost effective strategy, that prioritizes a community conversation about how the system as a whole functions, where the gaps in services exist, and how to answer the need.

The project has now contracted with the National Alliance to End Homelessness (NAEH) to provide high level training and facilitation coupled with technical assistance for system design and implementation.  The project will lean heavily on local data and community input to improve function and efficiency for our neighbors experiencing homelessness.The steering committee is putting data and details together for an upcoming Systems Design Clinic lead by NAEH. The System Design Clinic will be held in early April and will pull local leadership together to analyze Coconino County data on homelessness and begin strategic planning around our homeless services system. Prior to the clinic, the steering committee will be collecting survey data from local agencies, clients, direct service providers and leadership.

How you can help?

In early April, community leadership will take part in a System Design Clinic.  Since space at the clinic is extremely limited and to insure all voices are heard, they are asking that you help by taking the survey below.  As you can see, there are three different surveys depending on the role you most closely identify with.  The surveys are completely anonymous and will be collected and analyzed by NAEH.

If you are currently/or have previously experienced homelessness, please take THIS survey.

If you work directly with people experiencing homelessness (case managers, program directors, concerned citizens, first responders, etc.), please take THIS survey.

If you are in a leadership role in your agency (Executive Director, CEO, Pastor, Leader in your Agency), please take THIS survey.

Additionally, the more information they collect, the better.  So please forward this information along to anyone you think qualifies in one of these categories listed above.  It is important that they have as many voices and opinions as possible, so please take a survey and pass it along.  Please complete your survey by March 4, 2016 so that they can move forward with consolidating data for the clinic.

If you work with individuals or families experiencing homelessness, please print paper client surveys and encourage folks to participate.  If you do so, please let them know so they can plan to collect paper copies and input the data. Also, you can only take one survey per computer.  If you have multiple staff that use the same computer, just let them know and NAEH can open the survey to allow for multiple people to click on the survey. Thank you!
