Students, senior citizens team up to produce ‘Sleeping Beauty.’ See more Arizona Daily Sun education stories here

Trolls, fairies and a sleepy king will take over the Peaks Senior Living Center over the weekend as students from Flagstaff team up with Peaks residents to put on the play “Sleeping Beauty.”

Two employees from the Missoula Children’s Theatre are the directors of the show, which features students in first grade through high school and senior citizens as actors.

Denise Gustafson, the Director of Intergenerational Programs with the Goodman Group, which manages the Peaks, said the group had intergenerational theater in other facilities they manage, and wanted to bring the concept to Flagstaff.
