AzCASE encourages out-of-school time programs across Arizona to submit nominations for the CONNECT2STEM Awards.
The second annual CONNECT2STEM Awards, presented by Cox Communications in partnership with AZ SciTech, will honor STEM Connectors in the areas of business, nonprofit, education and afterschool programs.
The winner of each of the following categories will receive a $1,000 grant to the STEM program of their choice along with recognition at the AZ SciTech awards event and promotion on Cox cable channels.
Award Categories:
After School Excellence Award
- A Cox Communications & Arizona Center for Afterschool Excellence Award
- Recognizing after school programs that are uniquely positioned to support STEM learning through hands on, project-based activities that expand on and enhance concepts from the school day.
Innovation Award for Business
- A Cox Business & Sponsor Supported Award
- Recognizes the innovative way businesses educate and inspire tomorrow’s Arizona STEM workforce.
Creative Media Award
- A Cox Media & Sponsor Supported Award
- Recognizes the creative use of multi-media video and technology platforms that provides real stories and successes from the classroom, the research lab, the garage and the boardroom, to students, families, educators and businesses across Arizona.
Student Teckie Award
- Sponsor Supported Award
- Recognizes a student’s outstanding achievement in the pursuit of STEM education through leadership and advocacy.
Teacher Teckie Award
- Sponsor Supported Award
- Recognizing innovative STEM teaching techniques in the classroom as well as through leadership and advocacy, making a system-wide impact on STEM in the community.
