The Arizona Child & Adolescent Survivor Initiative (ACASI) is hosting its quarterly community forum on Friday, Nov. 17 from 9:00AM-10:30AM (AZ Time) via Zoom. Welcome! You are invited to join a meeting: Empowering Our Voices: Healing from intimate partner violence in Indigenous communities . After registering, you will receive a confirmation email about joining the meeting.

Join us for a presentation by Madara Winters, a Registered Nurse with NATIVE HEALTH and an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation. A survivor herself of domestic violence and sexual assault, her advocacy and passion led her to create a talking circle and mobile advocacy support systems for the Native community members experiencing domestic violence and sexual assault. Madara will discuss intimate partner violence in Indigenous communities, the associated historical and generational traumas, and cultural healing practices.
