NAU joins national network to increase STEM teaching force

NAU’s Center for Science Teaching and Learning has been accepted into a prestigious nationwide group dedicated to developing 100,000 STEM teachers in 10 years.

Membership in the 100Kin10 Network is by nomination and invitation only and involves a rigorous application and review process, said Professor Pradeep “Max” Dass, the center’s director.

“This membership is both a matter of honor for recognition of the work we are already doing in STEM teacher education as well as our commitment to ramp up our efforts to enhance the STEM teacher workforce of our country,” Dass said.

The Rodel Foundation of Arizona also has been named a partner in the network.
