NAU Homecoming Parade, Football, and Family Fun This Week

| October 10, 2016

Join Northern Arizona University for the annual Homecoming celebration, a university tradition since 1924.

During the week of Oct. 10-15, there will be a variety of family-friendly events leading up to the big football game against Idaho State. Attend the Dedicatee Banquet on Tuesday to honor the 2016 Homecoming Dedicatee—an NAU faculty or staff member for at least 10 years who students feel has demonstrated exceptional service to the university.

Kick off the weekend with the football team, cheerleaders and students at the Traditions Day bonfire on Thursday and head downtown for a pep rally on Friday. Find a front row seat along the parade route on campus Saturday morning to see student-built floats, local high school bands and more. Free events around campus including campus walking tours and The Ponderosa tailgating event offer activities for all ages. Wear your gold gear and cheer on the NAU football team on Saturday starting at 4 p.m. in the Walkup Skydome. Free parking and shuttle service will be available on campus on Saturday.

NAIPTA is offering free bus service to the public on Routes 10 and 10a all day Saturday. Riders can take Route 10 to the stop in front of the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and walk to the Skydome or catch the shuttle in Lot P62.
