Native Strong Health and Wellness Conference

The Native American Health & Wellness Conference is a week-long conference aimed
at the prevention and education of Obesity & Type II Diabetes in the Native American Youth population of Flagstaff, Arizona. This conference’s holistic approach to wellness
includes physical, mental, emotional and spiritual wellness strategies. Youth, entering
grades 3rd-6th Fall 2015, will be equipped with tools to strengthen their minds & bodies. Skills like Identifying Protective Factors, Stress Relief, and Coping Skills will be introduced along-side traditional preventative measures like Healthy Eating habits and physical activity to the youth using engaging activities.

fees & Registration:
A $5.00 refundable registration fee is required upon application submission. This fee
is only to hold your spot, and will be returned upon check-in on Wednesday, June 24th
2015. Registration is on a first come serve basis up to 30 participants. We will maintain
a waitlist, if a participant is unable to participate in the week’s camp. We ask that
all youth attend the entire week, Monday through Friday.
