LETRS Continuing Education Course Opportunity

| February 18, 2015

On behalf of the Northeast Regional Center, Coconino County Education Service Agency (CCESA) is able to offer LETRS ( Modules 1-3)  training at a reduced cost. K-5 Educators have the opportunity to participate in this 30 hour literacy training for $100.00.  If educators choose to continue with Modules 4-6 (30 hours) & 7 – 9 (30 hours) this reduced rate will continue to be applied through December of 2015. Please take advantage of this opportunity.  RTTT funding is limited.

LETRS® (Language Essentials for Teachers of Reading and Spelling) is a professional development program that responds to the need for high-quality literacy educators at all levels. Developed by Louisa C. Moats, Ed.D., LETRS provides the deep foundational knowledge necessary to understand how students learn to read, write, and spell—and why some of them struggle.

LETRS provides educators with a core under-standing of language structure and helps them gain in-depth instructional information to complement their teaching practices. Rather than replacing the core basal reading program, LETRS brings deeper knowledge of reading instruction by addressing each component (see attached flyer HERE) as well as the foundational concepts that link them.
