Gathering of Native Americans (GONA) Community Gathering

In collaboration with The Village of Tewa’s, Tewa Youth Program, The Hopi Substance Abuse Prevention Center, & the Winslow Indian Health Care Center’s, Meth Amphetamine & Suicide Prevention Initiative (MSPI), The Village of Tewa would like to invite you, your family, relatives, friends, & youth  to all come and join in this cultural educational, and fun filled social community gathering (GONA) which will take place at the Village of Tewa’s  Administration facility, beginning Friday, October 20th 3:30-6:30 pm & October 21-22, 2017 8:00-4:30 pm.

The Village of Tewa’s hope and  intent is to possibly take a look at and address one of the biggest issues faced in the villages and communities throughout the Hopi reservation….SUBSTANCE ABUSE! And how native peoples can come together to mitigate the concern of their villages and communities, through various wellness activities in these 4 themes…Belonging, Mastery, Interdependence, & Generosity!

A community dinner will be provided Friday evening. Lunch and snacks, door prizes and giveaways, throughout the event on Saturday & Sunday.
