The 2020 Edition of the Friends of ASBA Voter Guide Releases Today!
Dear Friends-
Each year, the Friends of ASBA (Arizona School Boards Association) publishes a voter guide to assist public education advocates in assessing which members of the Arizona Legislature are most supportive of policies that further the mission of Arizona’s district public schools.
Each section of the book provides descriptive information about a Legislative District (LD) and provides a voting record and a thumbs up, thumbs down, or thumb sideways for each member. Because this is an election year, you will also see trophies. These are our “champions of public education” who have been consistently supportive of our efforts over their entire term of office.
This year, we have also added a new feature–district competitiveness–which indicates how likely a district is to vote for a Republican or Democrat based on voter registration. This should give you an idea of how likely a seat is to “flip” this year, and how important it is to vote in the primary election.
Each board member of an active ASBA member district, as well as Friends of ASBA Gold Members, will get a copy mailed to them.
