| October 24, 2016

Area Agency on Aging NACOG and CPLC Parenting Arizona will be hosting a FREE Kinship Care Workshop on October 27th from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at Kinsey Elementary School.

This workshop is professionally facilitated and is open to kinship caregivers, family caregivers, friends, neighbors and volunteers that may wish to participate or come and ask questions about kinship caregiving, caregiving techniques or discussing challenges.  Kinship Caregivers are relatives or non-relatives raising a child or grandparents raising grandchildren.  We understand the challenges facing your families including incarceration, mental illness, finances, issues with Department of Child Safety and many more topics!  Come learn more about how to take care of yourself while you are taking care of a child that has experienced trauma!

Caregivers may be eligible to receive FREE respite services while attending classes. Complimentary refreshments and materials/books are available to participants.  No registration required!  For further information, please call Lita Nelson at 1-877-521-3500 or visit www.nacog.org/aging for more program and services information.
