On August 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Summit attendees can visit the Children’s Museum of Phoenix after the doors close to the public and participate in fun, hands-on activities to learn about the importance of play. On August 27, from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., attendees get a tour of the museum during open hours to see it in action.
Documentary filmmaker Roger Weisberg explores why some children are permanently damaged by early adversity while others are able to thrive. Weisberg films the stories of abused children growing into adulthood and also interviews experts on neurobiology and early childhood development.
