“I didn’t have any career guidance in high school. Left on my own to figure it out, I pursued many things before becoming a teacher. I teach because I want students to learn how their artistic skill, creativity, and knowledge can translate into a career and be able to see the pathway from education to the workplace. I teach because nothing brings me joy like teaching my craft to others. Seeing students think inside, outside and what they can make with the box. I teach because I am CTE.” – Laura Locke, Interior Design & Merchandising, Coconino High School.

Help us celebrate Career and Technical Education Month by recognizing CTE educators for preparing students for success. Join us in thanking Ms. Locke for believing in Arizona’s students! Leave your comment to say thanks. #TeacherTuesday #ThankATeacher Association for Career and Technical Education
