Education Summit Seeks Solutions to Retain Teachers

Experts and education supporters will meet (Jan. 7) in Tucson to discuss how to stop the state’s teacher workforce from shrinking further.
The Let’s Talk Ed summit was inspired by a survey of 6,000 teachers that the educator-support group Tucson Values Teachers conducted last year.
“The two most important issues for teachers are salary and respect,” Tucson Values Teachers Interim Director Katie Rogerson said Monday.
