Developmental disabilities month — Meeting developmental milestones

Meeting developmental milestones
All children are unique, growing and developing in their own way with every parent and caregiver wanting to see their child meet typical milestones at the appropriate time.

Our Birth to Five Helpline early childhood specialists can help parents and caregivers know what to expect as children move through the ages and stages of their lives.

When children are not meeting milestones within the optimal age range it raises concerns and challenges for families and caregivers. It’s important to have someone to talk to who knows what resources and services are available that will match the child’s needs. Our Birth to Five Helpline early childhood specialists are available to provide that support.

We know that intervening early can make the most difference and provide the best long term results for children with developmental disabilities. Our specialists can address the concerns of the family and provide guidance, strategies and referral services to walk them through the process.

Birth to Five Helpline specialists are available by phone/text at 877-705-KIDS (5437) Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., or you can send us a message. For infants under 1, the Fussy Baby service, offers free home visits in Maricopa County and Zoom video conference visits statewide.
