A challenge brought to you by STEM Saturdays!
FEATURED ACTIVITY: SIMPLE MACHINE CHALLENGE
The National Geographic Education website features a comprehensive collection of activities and online resources to engage youth in STEM. The Simple Machine Challenge is one such activity. Geared toward youth in elementary and middle school, this project challenges youth to use everyday objects to create simple machines that complete specific tasks. This is a fantastic exploration of the physics of levers, pulleys, wheels and axels that encourages youth to get creative as they design their own robots.
