Clothesline Project & Youthfest RESCHEDULED: May 13th

| May 6, 2016

Northland Family Help Center inviteS you to have a presence at two major events in the upcoming month.

Due to the rain forecast, The Clothesline Project Display and Workshop has been RESCHEDULED for May 13th, same times (7 AM to 5 PM, Violence Prevention Workshops at 11 AM and 1 PM) and same location (Heritage Square).

The Clothesline Project is an awareness campaign for sexual assault and domestic violence survivors. The display consists of many clotheslines of T-shirts painted by survivors as a means of expression of their experience. This year, they will also include two workshops on violence prevention during the display. “Hanging our dirty laundry and experiences out to be seen and heard—We are no longer silent!”

Youthfest is a celebration of youth with youth performers, live music, workshops, activities, and resources for youth and families. This is an annual event, in honor of National Child Abuse Prevention Month, organized by their Runaway and Homeless Youth Outreach Program.
