Hundreds of children and youth turned out for the annual FACTS Afterschool “Lights On” Carnival held Saturday, Sept. 12 at Bushmaster Park in Flagstaff.

Presented by the Family and Community Teaming for Students, the free event was part of a national celebration highlighting the importance of quality out-of-school time programming for children, which the FACTS program provides for more than 600 young people a day.

The carnival included such family-friendly activities as a fun run, bounce houses, food, prizes, games, information booths and displays by FACTS sites and other community groups.
