CCC&Y Dec 14th Meeting and Event Information

| November 16, 2015

The CCC&Y Board Meeting scheduled for December 14th, from 12 to 1:30 p.m. will be held at the Family Violence Institute (FVI) on the NAU campus.  A map and directions are provided below.  All are welcome to attend.

We are planning an exciting end of year gathering, a celebration of the holidays, and some presentations from FVI, the McKinney-Vento Homeless Program and Northland Family Help Center’s (NFHC) Outreach Program.

The Executive Committee requests your participation in an “item drive” for the McKinney-Vento Homeless and NFHC Outreach Programs to include any of the following items: gloves, hats, scarves, SOCKS!, rain ponchos, pre-wrapped foods like trail mix, granola bars and juice boxes, toiletries, bus passes, and/or gift cards (target, walmart etc.).  ITEMS SHOULD NOT BE GIFT WRAPPED.

Parking passes will be provided, which can be picked up upon your arrival the day of the meeting. Information related to your vehicle can be emailed to coalition@coconinokids.org or you can bring it the day of the meeting to address NAU’s parking requirements. (see short form below)

Please mark your calendars now and join us!

CCC&Y will promote the “item drive” and recruit participation for the full month of December from you and members of the public, but items can be brought to the meeting for collection.  We will have a flyer and other promotional materials to help get the word out in the next week, so please stay tuned.

Here are the directions and parking info for the meeting on December 14th from 12 to 1:30 p.m.:

Directions:

The Family Violence Institute is located on Northern Arizona University’s campus at 1415 S. San Francisco Street in Building 47A.   Landmarks include the small observatory building; we are located across the street from the Hilltop Townhomes.  We share the building with ROTC and Property Surplus. You will loop around the building; park in the south employee parking lot (P38).  Parking permits will be provided; permits are not needed for government marked vehicles. NAU is very strict about the parking. Below is the information I will need the day of the meeting (or they can provide it in advance) and also the important parking permit guidelines. Our door, which is locked and has a door bell, faces west and has a sign that reads Family Violence Institute. You’ll find a map below; a link to the map is: http://www2.nau.edu/nau-map/
