MIT FULL STEAM Ahead is a collection of resources that MIT is putting together for teaching and learning online. These are meant as a rapid response to the need for online resources during the COVID-19 pandemic. They will curate existing resources for K-12, higher education, and workforce learners, as well as provide a weekly package of relevant materials for K-12 students and educators. The package will be a thematic set of videos, resources and online/offline activities for different grades.

Are we heading for a second wave requiring families in hotspots to once again shelter at home? Will schools reopen this summer or fall? Are parents prepared to meet additional teach-at-home challenges? How have children survived the past few months — are they feeling depressed, isolated, traumatized, both physically and mentally?

CPLC Parenting Arizona hosting special online Active Parenting ages 5-12 starting May 19

Parenting Arizona will be hosting a special 3-week Active Parenting of ages 5-12 Class on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting May 19th at 12 PM!

The platform will be Microsoft Teams, and a link to the group will be emailed to participants. We would like to get participants registered as soon as possible, so as to ensure quick delivery of books and materials. The attached flyer provides more  information for the Parenting Class. The Arizona Talking Book Library provides free audio book delivery service to the visually impaired and physically limited throughout Arizona, www.azlibrary.gov/talkingbooks. This service also includes a downloadable program called BARD (Braille and Audio Reading Download) as well as braille books and other materials. Each state is federally mandated by the Library of Congress to carry this program, www.loc.gov/nls.
