Grant Application
The Cash for Local Change grant application will be open on June 1 through June 15, 2016. Grants will be awarded in early July. The program has $32,000 to contribute to local nonprofits in need. They expect grants to be in the $2K to $3K range but there are no limits set. Individuals and non-profits can apply. Grants will be awarded based on how they will improve Flagstaff. A panel made up of The Full Circle Board and businesses that have contributed to the fund will award the grants. Visit to apply.

Cash For Local Change is a program in Flagstaff, AZ where participating local businesses donate 1% of cash sales to local non-profits, and keep cash in Flagstaff’s economy. In exchange they get increased cash sales, pay less money in credit card fees, receive free advertising, and support local community organizations.

An increase of 10% in cash spending at local Flagstaff businesses annually would create:
$15 million re-invested in our local economy
120 new jobs
$6 million in local wages

How To Participate
1) Stop at the ATM to get cash before you spend money and support participating local businesses with cash sales.
2) Sign your business up to participate in the program at Full Circle Trade and Thrift.
3) Local nonprofits in need can apply for grant funding from Cash for Local Change at Full Circle Trade and Thrift.
4) Once a year, participating Cash for Local Change businesses will get together and choose the nonprofits that will receive grant money from the program.
5) More cash spending at local businesses means more money in the local economy and less money to credit card companies.

Businesses who participate in Cash for Local Change
• Donate 1% or $75 a month to Cash for Local Change for a one year contract.
• Save 1-4% in credit card fees per cash sale.
• Recieve over $2,800 a year in advertising including print, social media, downtown parade banners and video promotions.

A Growing Trend
In 2015, Cash for Local change started off with 6 businesses and grew to 30 participating businesses. Currently in March of 2016, there are 36 participating businesses. In it’s inaugural year, Cash for Local Change will give away over $30,000 to local nonprofits!
