Call for NAU Symposium Reviewers

| April 22, 2019

By NAU Undergraduate Research & Creative Activity

Hello, STEM City Community,

NAU Undergraduate Research & Creative Activity needs your help!

We are expecting over 1,000 students to come together to present at this year’s Undergraduate Symposium.  It is our goal to provide feedback to every student who presents, so it will take the help of community members like you to reach our goal. Please consider signing up to be a volunteer reviewer!

This year’s poster session will be held in a new location: the NAU University Union & Fieldhouse (Bldg 30) on Friday, April 26, 2019.

You do not have to be an expert in any particular field to provide feedback; in fact, we want our presenters to practice communicating their work to a variety of people.  We will provide you with a scoring guide (rubric) and background information on each project you are asked to rate.  There will be two judging sessions, one in the morning and one in the afternoon. Students giving poster presentations will be assigned to stand by their posters during one of two 2-hour sessions. Oral presentations will be given in 20 minute increments throughout the day. We need judges to volunteer for one or both sessions.

Volunteering is easy!

  1. Go to the following URL: https://nausymposium.secure-platform.com/a/page/welcome
  2. Click on “Login with Net ID” and sign in with your NAU credentials.
  3. Click on “Register to Judge/Review” and fill in the requested information.

Save your log in information, as you will use this to access your judging assignments for the event. You will receive an email confirmation for your records with your preferences listed:

Please register as soon as possible. You will hear back from our office again with judging guidelines, logistics, and the titles of your assigned presentations.  In the meantime, if you have any questions feel free send me an email.

Thank you in advance for your consideration.  We hope to see you there!
