Dear Out-of-School Time Supporter,

Today Arizonans begin casting our ballots in the 2016 Primary Election — the first step in determining who will lead the state and represent our state in Washington, D.C.

AzCASE has reached out to every candidate running for Congress and the State Legislature, and asked them to declare their support for out-of-school time youth programs. We are excited to share their responses with you today.

  • 50 candidates for the state Legislature pledged their support for Arizona’s out-of-school time youth programs, including Senate Majority Leader Steve YarbroughHouse Minority Leader Eric Meyer and House Minority Whip Rebecca Rios. You can view the full list on the 2016 Arizona Out-of-School Time Advocates page.
  • 6 candidates for US Congress, including Senator John McCainRepresentative Raúl Grijalva, and Sheriff Paul Babeu shared their visions and priorities for out-of-school time programs, informal STEM learning, and child nutrition. Read their survey responses here.

We thank these candidates for their support for Arizona Out-of-School Time programs, their staffs, and the youth and families who depend on them.

This election season, we encourage you to find out where the candidates stand. Let them, and other Arizona voters, know how important out-of-school time programming is to you, and to the future of Arizona.

Thank you for your continued support, and for all you do for youth.
