Facilitated by the Arizona Department of Education, this four-session module addresses financial literacy, financial aid, completing the FAFSA and preparing college applications. The training will also focus on how counselors play a crucial role in advising parents and students in accessing financial aid, successfully preparing for college and completing college admission applications. The Director of Statewide Initiatives and AzCAN will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day management and implementation of the following programs, projects and partnerships: College Knowing & Going, AdviseAZ, Project Benjamin, National College Attainment Network (NCAN), College Application and FAFSA Campaigns. This position will lead a team in pursuit of our mission to increase equitable access and attainment of high-value credentials for first-generation and low-income students in Arizona. Learn more.
AdviseAZ Summer Sessions
AdviseAZ members will be offering free virtual advising to high school students this summer. These near-peer advisers offer assistance in the following areas:
  • FAFSA Support
  • College Applications/Enrollment
  • Scholarships and Financial Aid
  • Career Exploration
  • Admission Essays

Virtual Mentoring for College Students
The Success Services team at Achieve60AZ | College Success Arizona | Expect More Arizona has developed a virtual mentoring program that is completely free and open to students in their first year of college.
Through the program students will have access to:
  • Quarterly mentoring sessions with a dedicated success adviser
  • Peer networking sessions, trainings and workshops
  • Text-in support
  • Internship and career support
