FAFSA Playbook
Last year, 47% of Arizona high school seniors completed the FAFSA. The state has set a goal of reaching 52% FAFSA completion for this school year. To get there, the Valley Leadership Education Impact Team created two new resources: a FAFSA Playbook for superintendents, school boards, and policymakers and an online FAFSA Toolkit. The Playbook discusses the importance of FAFSA, promising practices to increase FAFSA completion, and a handout for parents/families, among other things. The Toolkit includes a comprehensive set of ideas, best practices, resources, and a full social media communications campaign to help schools promote FAFSA with their students. The Education Impact Team was made up of Valley Leadership class members and strategic partners including: Helios Education Foundation, Expect More Arizona, Be a Leader Foundation, Achieve60AZ, the Arizona College Access Network, the Arizona Commission for Postsecondary Education, and Valley of the Sun United Way.
