Updated May 10, 2017 – When House legislators returned to Committee of the Whole and Final Readings on several items, House Speaker J.D. Mesnard withdrew his amendment to Senate Bill 1156.
The revised amendment introduced by House Speaker J.D. Mesnard today would have required sufficient inflationary funding to go towards cost of living adjustments for teachers’ and staffs’ salaries.
