Arizona Nears Goal Restoring Millions In Education Funding
By Stina Sieg / 91.5 KJZZ
The Arizona Legislature is one step closer to restoring tens of millions of dollars cut last year from high school career and technical education programs.
The Arizona House unanimously passed legislation that restores nearly all $30 million cut last year. The bill was sent back to the Senate, which passed a previous version of the bill last week. That touched off a stand-off between the House and Senate. This newest House version amends the Senate bill, restoring another $1 million in funding.
The bill was approved on a 60-0 vote.
