Arizona Department of Child Safety announces ‘Youth Leadership Day’ and Other Youth Programs! through March 13

Calling all adults and high school youth!! Join us for our 10th Annual Youth Leadership Days – the VIRTUAL edition. Participation is FREE for American Indian high school students everywhere.

 

March 13th – schedule below is for both days:

·     Parent/adult session is 8:30 AM – 9:30 AM

·     Youth Session is 9:30 AM – Noon

·     Navajo Technical College: Tuesday, March 9th, 10AM – 11AM

·     United Tribes Technical College: Tuesday, March 9th, 4PM – 5PM

·     The Refrigeration School, Inc (RSI): Wednesday, March 10th, 10AM – 11AM

·     Arizona State University: Wednesday, March 10th, 4PM – 5PM

·     Northern Arizona University: Thursday, March 11th, 10AM – 11AM

·     Diné College: Friday, March 12th, 10AM – 11AM

Sew a ribbon skirt in just two class sessions! The instructor will go through a step-by-step process and include some background information on the story of ribbon skirts among American Indian people. This workshop is targeted for high school aged youth.
