Promote Your STEM Program with The Connectory
The Connectory makes connections to STEM learning opportunities that inspire young people to explore, discover, and create. With a network of over 5,000 STEM program providers, The Connectory is the online tool to promote your program and opportunities to an engaged audience of families and other STEM providers. You can also connect to other program providers, share ideas, and network with a growing STEM Community. They have also partnered with VolunteerMatch to allow providers to link accounts and recruit volunteers to grow your nonprofit STEM programs. Check out this great tool to promote your STEM learning opportunity!

Changing the Game in STEM with Family Engagement

Parents play a vital role in building youth’s awareness and interest in STEM (See Arizona OST Standard V). A new white paper from the STEM Next Opportunity Fund highlights the promising practices of family engagement for STEM. Changing the Game in STEM with Family Engagement provides a guide to practitioners and field leaders looking to incorporate family engagement into their STEM programs and the benefits students and families take part in when participating in STEM activities together.

Exploring STEM Through Play
This video from Edutopia highlights a wonderful preschool program that builds on kids’ natural curiosity to foster an early interest in science, technology, engineering, and math. Watch them use science experiments, handheld digital magnifiers and intentional vocabulary to help grow develop interest in STEM for future success!
