Lights On Afterschool: Rising to the Moment
Thursday October 22nd, 2020
Lights On Afterschool is the annual celebration of out-of-school time. Join more than 8,000 communities and 1 million Americans in celebrating afterschool programs for this year’s Lights On Afterschool. This nationwide event, organized by Afterschool Alliance, calls attention to the importance of afterschool programs and the resources required to keep the lights on and the doors open. Despite the unique challenges we have all faced this year, afterschool programs across the country have stepped up to fill in important roles in our communities.

Arizona Center for Afterschool Excellence is proud to be a part of Lights On Afterschool.
Too many American childen—19.4 million—are missing out on afterschool opportunities. Your participation in Lights On Afterschool will help call attention to this important issue. We are inviting you to plan a celebration of Lights On Afterschool for your program. We know this year’s celebrations will look different, but whether you are back in-person or planning a virtual event, there are countless ways to shine a light on your youth program. Most importantly, your community should see the value of your program through your event.
