COVID-19 Resources
AzCASE wants to help programs prepare for potential disruptions due to the spread of COVID 19. Governor Ducey has declared a state of emergency in the state of Arizona.
You can take precautions to decrease the spread of viruses and help keep kids safe. Afterschool programs, like schools, are important facets of the community and must understand the risk and properly prepare in order to keep students and staff safe.
Check out safety guidelines, resources to share with families, and funding / sustainability resources on our website.
Thank You for Your Support on Arizona Gives Day!
Last Tuesday, April 7th, we celebrated AzCASE’s 30th Anniversary in conjunction with Arizona Gives Day.
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Google Hangout with fantastic speakers throughout the day!
And many thanks to those who contributed to The Youth Development Emergency Relief Fund in support of out-of-school time programs across the state as they respond to the impact of COVID-19 within our community. One hundred percent of contributions to this fund will be distributed to programs in need.
[SURVEY] How is COVID-19 Impacting Your Program?
The Arizona Center for Afterschool Excellence is issuing this survey to better understand the impact the COVID-19 outbreak has had on afterschool programs and other youth serving institutions.
If you are facing financial and/or health impacts from the spread of the coronavirus, up to and including the closure of your program, please share your story here.
The more we know, the more we can communicate with state policymakers about what’s happening and what’s needed to protect our state’s critical out-of-school time infrastructure.
Please take a few minutes to enter your responses.

Arizona Quality Out-of-School Time Programs
There is widespread agreement that while out-of-school time programs can be strong tools for youth development, this is only the case when these programs are of high quality. Quality programs come in a variety of shapes and sizes. There is no one program, style, curriculum, or method that meets the needs of all youth. Rather, a quality program is one that is a living organism, growing and adapting to meet the needs of all youth. Learn about the Arizona Continuous Quality Improvement Process for out-of-school time programs on our website here.
