Arizona Center for Afterschool Excellence Announces Keynote Speaker for 2014 Conference

| September 15, 2014

We’re delighted to announce that Jaime Casap, Global Education Evangelist at Google, is the keynote speaker for the 2014 Arizona Out-of-School Time Conference, School’s Out, Make It Count: Engaging Youth in Life & Learning

Jaime’s success story is impressive, especially given his experience growing up in poverty in Hells Kitchen, New York. He is a first generation American who is proof of the power and potential of education and out-of-school time programs to change a family, and more specifically, a child’s destiny.

Jaime believes wholeheartedly that education disrupts poverty, and he works with organizations around the world, helping them find ways to continuously improve the quality of their education programs.

In May, Jaime was the keynote speaker at the 2014 National Afterschool Association Convention. His keynote address at the Arizona Out-of-School Time Conference will focus on the role of out-of-school time programs in fostering creativity in youth and utilizing collaboration to provide life-changing learning opportunities for Arizona youth.

In addition to his role at Google, Jaime serves on the Board of Directors for the Arizona Science Foundation, New Global Citizens, Arizona Chamber of Commerce, and the Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. Jaime also teaches classes and guest lectures at Arizona State University.
