By the Arizona Adverse Childhood Experiences Consortium

The Arizona Adverse Childhood Experiences Consortium is seeking to hire coaches for its Community Coalitions positions.

The AZ ACEs Consortium has been engaged by Prevent Child Abuse Arizona and the Governor’s Office of Youth, Faith and Family (GOYFF) to develop a comprehensive trauma-informed substance abuse prevention training and to provide on-going technical assistance for community coalitions and other stakeholders throughout Arizona. The project leverages the unique expertise of the AZ ACEs Consortium’s leadership and members to support the efforts of community coalitions and other stakeholders to prevent opioid use and misuse and to treat opioid addiction by:

  • Educating and supporting the community coalitions themselves
  • Linking community coalitions to new partners
  • Educating the larger body of Arizona stakeholders

The position will work closely with the AZ ACEs Consortium’s Project Director and assigned community substance use prevention coalition, which includes performing and being accountable for the following:

1. Attend an all day training on Trauma Informed Substance Use Prevention.

This training will be a combination of coaches and Community Coalitions so that you may learn together and learn how to best support your assigned coalition(s).

2. On-Going Support

Coaches will be responsible for bi-weekly check-ins with assigned coalition(s) leadership to answer questions, connect with resources and track progress.

3. Coordination with ACE Consortium Project Director

Communicate regularly with Project Director to ensure continued success of Community Coalitions and track progress.

Compensation

Stipend to attend training and hourly compensation for length of contract. The project is expected to run through April 2020. A successful applicant should plan on devoting an initial 8 hours for training and an additional 4 hours a month for the life of the project.

To Apply

Interested candidates should submit:

  • A cover letter describing your familiarity with ACEs and community coalitions and how your professional experiences relate to the core responsibilities of the Coach
  • A detailed resume

Please submit materials via email to: information@azaces.org

These positions are available now until filled. Qualified candidates are encouraged to apply immediately.
