Its Time! Youth Leadership on the Foundations of Nitsáhákees, Nahat’á, Iina & Sihasin

This youth conference is designed for youth of all ages to come together and witness the realization of prayers and songs of our elders. To successfully integrate Diné Culture & Western Education to attain a life of spirituality, prosperity, a healthy life-style and build a foundation of knowledge of self-identity & awareness and foster the importance of life-long learning.

A few topics are as follows:
5:30 am ~ Main teepee set up * Káa – Lighting Ceremonial Fire, Prayer & Song – Melvin Bedoni * Flag rising – Honoring all Veterans – Ts Has n Veterans Organization * Jáadee sin Teachings of Discipline and Stamina for Wellness – 5 K Walk/Run – Thomas Hatathli – ł* Importance of Our Language & Education – Dr. Tommy Lewis, Jr. * Importance of Service to Community – Jennifer Benally, Arizona House of Representatives * Youth Leadership, It’s Your Future – Morning Star Youth Council * Youth Leadership on the Horizon – Navajo Nation Youth Council Initiative * Nihizaad 2025, It’s Your Choice * Cultural Challenges in Higher Education – Dr. Vanessa Jensen * and many more distinguished individuals, all here to mentor youth.
