2019 Viola Awards nominees announced for Excellence in Arts, Science Education categories

The Flagstaff Arts Council has named:
- Allison Gruber – Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy
- Shayne Smith – Flagstaff High School
- Kathy Marron – Thomas Elementary School
- Joe Maniglia – Theatrikos Theatre Company
- Faun Nichols – Sechrist Elementary School
as 2019 Viola Awards nominees in the Excellence in Arts Education category.
The Flagstaff Arts Council also named:
- Kelley Smith – Coconino High School
- Susan Brown – Northland Preparatory Academy
- Rich Krueger – Flagstaff Arts and Leadership Academy
- Melinda McKinney – Coconino Community College
as 2019 Viola Awards nominees in the Excellence in Science Education category.
The eleventh annual Viola Awards Gala will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2019 at High Country Conference Center in Flagstaff. The winners in each category will be announced at the Gala event, which features performances, dinner, and the award ceremony.
The Viola Awards are Flagstaff’s Oscars for the arts and sciences community. Celebrating excellence in the arts and sciences, the Viola Awards recognize artists, educators, organizations and leaders who make positive contributions to the arts and sciences in Flagstaff.
