2014 Legislative Report Card – Who’s for Kids and Who’s Just Kidding? Thanks CAA!

| June 12, 2014

Each year, the 90 members of our state legislature vote on dozens of bills that shape the education, health and safety of Arizona’s children and families. Children’s Action Alliance (CAA), CCC&Y, and hopefully many of you believe every lawmaker has the responsibility to vote for kids, and our legislators should be held accountable and measured on their performance.

We are so fortunate that CAA publishes an annual report card on Arizona’s legislators,Who’s for Kids and Who’s Just Kidding? which CCC&Y likes to use and share to keep everyone informed of leadership decisions.  During the legislative session, CAA analyzed and took a stand on several bills. This report card focuses on seven of them in the Senate and six in the House. Together they cover the issues of child welfare, affordable child care, education, budget and taxes and predatory lending. Take a look inside and see why each vote was important, how each legislator voted and key progress for kids during session.

This is an incredible resource.  We should all take some time to be informed and educate ourselves on the critical issues facing Arizona’s children, youth and families.

Thank you again CAA for your dedication and commitment to Arizona’s children and for your resourceful information!
