- 83% of math, English language arts, science and/or social studies teachers in Arizona believe the standards will have a positive impact on students’ ability to think critically and use reasoning skills. 17% do not expect an impact either way or are not sure; zero percent of respondents expect a negative impact.
- 81% believe the standards will have a positive impact on students’ ability to effectively present their ideas based on evidence.
- 78% believe the standards will have a positive impact on students’ ability to read and comprehend informational texts.
The post also mentions that, “While Arizona teachers are very supportive of the standards, they also voiced the need for more support to implement them.
