Tsingine and Begody recognized as Athletes of the Year and Academic Athletes of the Year

TUBA CITY, Ariz. – It’s an honor to be selected as the Athlete of the Year by one’s high school but to be honored as an Academic Athlete of the Year as well doubles the prestige. The awards come from high school sports coaches and newspapers.

Tate Tsingine and Christian Begody, both graduating seniors from Tuba City High School, earned the female and male Athletes of the Year and were also honored with the male and female Academic Athletes of the Year awards for 2015 during a recent banquet at Warrior Pavilion.

A packed house of parents, extended family and sports supporters in the pavilion enjoyed a nice meal and and awards ceremony with the coaches of twelve different sports categories including wrestling, marine junior ROTC, fall-winter cheerleading, football, cross country, volleyball, girls and boys basketball, softball, track and field, baseball and chess.
