ALL donations will go to Northland Family Help Center’s Outreach Project and the McKinney Vento Program. The Office of Injury Prevention posted the 22nd Annual Child Fatality Review Report

for 2014, the number of children who died in Arizona increased. There were some successes- deaths from motor vehicle and other transportation decreased as did deaths from maltreatment and unintentional injury. There is still work to be done in the areas of safe sleep, suicide and prematurity.

Arizonans will not be surprised by a new report from the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities showing that Arizona is still stands out in cuts to K-12 education funding. Adjusting for inflation, Arizona is again third worst in the nation for cuts to state school spending per student from 2008 to 2016.
